Pets on Parade 2010

Big Art for a Big Cause

The Pets on Parade Benefit is our most visible fundraising event.  Proceeds from the event go to our Companions in Crisis program, which provides financial aid to those pet families struggling to pay for cancer treatments and medication.

How Pets on Parade works

Artists submit proposals for designing a steel pup.  The FETCH Pets on Parade benefit committee reviews the designs and decides which ones we’ll move forward with to the design phase.  FETCH arranges for pups to be sponsored at 1 of 4 different sponsorship levels.  Once the steel pups and murals are created, they will be paraded around town.

Our 2010 litter will consist of 10 steel pup statues and 10 murals of art.  Artists are being asked to submit design proposals to reflect one or more of four pet attributes:

Loyalty, Intelligence, Courage and Kindness.  Together we can LICK cancer!

A Big Cause with Big Results

In 2009, FETCH a Cure made an emergency appeal for several pets that couldn’t continue treatments without our financial help.  Meet some who have LICKed cancer so far.

Breast Cancer Survivor  Oral Melanoma Diagnosis  Lymphoma Diagnosis
Chigger, a Maine Coon mix, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, which was successfully removed. Sophie, a Shepherd Mix, was diagnosed with Oral Melanoma.  She has started her 18 months of radiation and vaccine treatments. Cambrian, a Cocker Spaniel, was diagnosed with Lymphoma.  Nineteen weeks of chemotherapy was the treatment with the most promising prognosis.
