FETCH A Cure has partnered with inLieu, a Richmond-based start-up that allows individuals to raise funds for good causes in lieu of receiving gifts on special occasions. The inspiration for inLieu came out of an experience inLieu’s co-founder had in asking friends and family, in lieu of sending flowers, to donate to a memorial scholarship in his late father’s name; the result was a $20,000 gift to the fund.
For those of you who want to create something good and lasting out of the unfortunate passing of your loved one, we invite you to consider raising funds for our Memorial Fund through inLieu. Creating an event to remember your pet is very simple. All you have to do is decide on a monetary goal, upload a couple pictures and a short video, and explain why our Memorial Fund is a cause you’re passionate about. Then, just share your newly created inLieu event with friends, family and even strangers through email and social media and ask them to contribute to the legacy of your loved one by giving to the Memorial Fund through inLieu rather than sending flowers and gifts. What better way to commemorate your pet’s life than by raising funds so that other pets can live long and happy lives? Check out inLieu and their success stories today.
