Stories of Hope

Buster Brown’s is a story of hope.  In January, 2009, Buster Brown was diagnosed with Pulmonary Neoplasi after a chronic cough that subsequently produced a large amount of blood.  An expensive and invasive surgery to remove a lung tumor was Buster Brown’s only chance for survival.  FETCH was able to assist with underwriting a significant portion of the surgery from a donation from its “Companions in Crisis” program.  Today, Buster Brown is a happy, healthy friend and companion.

Champ was diagnosed with Stage III Lymphomosarcoma.  With no obvious primary organ involvement, Champ was an excellent candidate for chemotherapy.  A 19 week protocol (16 treatments) was started in June 2009.  As the latest Companions in Crisis recipient, Champ is doing very well.  For Champ, every walk is the best walk, every meal his best, and every nap is a very sound sleep.
