Baseball + dogs = your Sunday plans! Each season,

Baseball + dogs = your Sunday plans!

Each season, the Norfolk Tides (@norfolktides) host several Bark in the Park events so fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a game with their four-legged friends, with all proceeds from dog tickets donated to a local dog charity.

FETCH a Cure is the chosen charity for the first Bark in the Park game of the season on Sunday, April 14 at 1:05pm. Dr. Lauren Barrow (pictured here) of Hampton Roads Veterinary Hospice & Integrative Medicine (@hrvethospice) will also be at the game from 2pm-4pm providing free lump and bump exams at the FETCH table, located on the third base side of the concourse.

Tickets for humans are $16 if purchased in advance and $19 if purchased the day of the game. Dog tickets are $5 per dog, which is donated to FETCH, and are available either online (link in bio) or at the Harbor Park Box Office.

Our in-person Pet Loss Support Group is expanding

Our in-person Pet Loss Support Group is expanding to have an even greater impact on the pet community.

1) We will offer a quarterly in-person support group in the Virginia Beach area, which will be led by art therapist and licensed professional counselor, Maureen Kelleher. The first meeting will be on Sunday, April 21st from 4:00-5:00 pm at Back Bay Farmhouse. RSVP using the link in our bio.

2) Our Richmond support group will be adding an additional monthly meeting on the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30-6:30 pm at the FETCH a Cure office. This meeting will be led by Dr. Melissa Miller, Pet-Loss Grief Support Specialist and Medical Oncologist at Partner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center. RSVP using the link in our bio.

This little bit is Zoey. She's at Virginia Tech's

This little bit is Zoey. She's at Virginia Tech's Animal Cancer Care and Research Center today receiving treatment for lymphoma. Her owner applied for a Companions in Crisis grant and was approved for $1200.

Zoey is the center of her mom's world. She wrote, "She's the main love of my life. I would do anything and everything I could to help pay for her cancer treatments. Even if it means for me to be homeless. That's how much I love her. She's my reason for getting out of bed each day. She's my sunshine, and my stars."
